With several days in the nineties recently, I had to harvest all the broccoli before it flowered. I only had about 12 plants, but it was still enough that we are eating broccoli every day right now.
There were a few bigger heads, about 6-7 inches in diameter. Some were only about 2 inches across, though.
I usually just eat broccoli steamed, but last night I decided to break up the monotony a bit.
I made a stir fry with almost all garden produce. Unfortunately I didn’t get a great picture. This shows the pan right before I added the kale:
From the garden I used onion, garlic scapes, snow peas, broccoli, and kale. The carrots were store bought.
It tasted wonderful. The snow peas were definitely the highlight of the dinner for me. I wish now I had planted more so that I could freeze some for using later.
I love stir fry, but if I don’t put meat in it, I am always hungry an hour later. Any suggestions for making a more “filling” stir fry without meat?
